Tongan artist Sopolemalama Filipe Tohi has a survey exhibition opening at Mangere Arts Centre on 7 September in which he shows a range of work produced over the last twenty years. This show will demonstrate the depth of Filipe’s work and the range of medium he has worked in.
Filipe also has work on Karangahape Road publicising that areas adoption of ‘Team Tonga’ for the upcoming RWC – look for the big billboard on the side of the Langham Hotel fronting KRd. Also this morning we were at the official ‘unveiling’ of Filipe’s wonderful lightbox at the western end of the new look bus shelters on KRd.
