Inspired by a long over-due trip to Niue, I visited one of my aunts and became enthralled by the aesthetics of the numerous framed portraits mixed with bits of mass produced objects and Niuean cultural paraphernalia still wrapped in plastic.
In retrospect, ‘A place Tu stand’ is a series of works which explores notions of
identity, veneration and materiality.
