Neophyte is a metonym for a new nameless generation, neither New Zealand-immigrants nor New Zealand-natives, who occupy a neither-here-nor-there site. With many New Zealander’s identifying with two or more ethnicities The New Neophytes presents the changing face of our communities. This exhibition is supported by a catalogue, writers include Louise Lever and Nina Tonga.

In the grounds of Albert Park, the George Fraser Gallery is the public exhibiting space of Elam School of Fine Arts.
