Tautai are pleased to announce that applications for the 2011 Tautai Artist Residency are now being accepted. This is the third time this residency has been offered by Tautai and it is available specifically to a Pacific artist, currently resident in the Pacific.

The successful applicant receives return airfares to and from Auckland, five weeks accommodation plus a per diem. The residency offers ‘a gift of time’ to the artist. There is no expectation that the artist make work while they are in Auckland. Tautai anticipates that the artist will meet and spend time with Auckland based artists, visit galleries and libraries and continue their own research. There will also be opportunities to take part in some of the art events that are part of the Auckland calendar during March 2011.
