You are warmly invited to join us for the launch of the very first issue of Femisphere, a new ongoing series of publications edited by Judy Darragh & Imogen Taylor.

Femisphere is a long-term project interested in encouraging inclusivity and visibility of women*’s practices in the visual arts sector of Aotearoa.

Femisphere is an attempt at presenting a structure to support diverse conversation around female* artists’ work from the past, present and future.

This structure has recently commenced as a series of publications, each one showcasing responses and expressions from a rotational selection of artists.

The first group of contributors are:
    Elle Loui August
    Philippa Blair
    Heidi Brickell
    Bek Coogan
    Judy Darragh
    Ayesha Green
    Rebecca Ann Hobbs
    Claudia Jowitt
    Andrea Low
    Natasha Matila-Smith
    Judy Millar
    Ahilapalapa Rands
    Rosanna Raymond
    Ella Scott-Fleming
    Imogen Taylor

*We believe women/woman/female/her/she to be inclusive to all variations of gender that identify with these terms/labels, whether it is in the past, present or future.

    Thanks to Chartwell Trust!
