  • Tukutuku Kafa Mei Lotomoana: Survey Part Two

Tukutuku Kafa Mei Lotomoana: Survey Part Two is Sopolemalama Filipe Tohi’s second exhibition at Māngere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku, following Fatuemaka Mei Falekafa: Survey Part One which was exhibited in September/October 2011. While Part One focused primarily on his carving in stone, Part Two will showcase his more recent works in diverse materials. Tohi’s artwork is based on the patterns and traditions of lalava, the ancient Pacific art form used for binding materials together.
