    Tonga’s strength-hold is its heart/  Ko Tonga mo’unga ki he loto

    This exhition is a world premiere of a brand new photography series by Emily Mafile’o, which celebrates the 150th Anniversary of Tupou College Toloa in Tonga. The series takes you on a unique journey back to Toloa to honour a beloved school, with fathers, brothers and husbands. Witness the pride, astonishment, tears, complex family ties, a clash of cultures, sacrifice, and excess.

     

    Public events:

    White Night exhibition opening: 18 March, 5-9pm

    7- 8 April, 11am – 6pm:  Album Launch Pukepuke ‘o Tonga presents Lomipeau Fika ‘Uluaki ‘o Aotearoa based on the poetry of Queen Sālote Tupou III
