Ayla Brockes

Ayla Brockes has cultural ties to Fua'amotu and Vava'u in Tonga, and to Surrey in England. Currently in her third year studying a conjoint BFA/BA majoring in Fine Arts and Pacific Studies, she gets to interpret stories of the past and how indigenous Pacific knowledge beats in a contemporary context. Ayla has a particular interest in how her femininity is informed through pre-colonial mythologies and concepts of te-moana-nui-a-kiwa.
