Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington

In June, Tautai and the College of Creative Arts (CoCA) at Massey University, collaborated to deliver Fresh Horizons Wellington - three days of powerful creative wānanga grounded in Pacific culture and expression.

Led by incredible Pacific artists, Telly Tuita (Tonga) with Israel Randell (Cook Island, Tainui, Ngāti Kahungunu), and Teremoana Rapley (Cook Island, Jamaican) — the workshops offered rangatahi from across the wider Wellington region a chance to step into spaces of creativity, connection and cultural pride.

Visual and performing arts sessions provided students with hands-on learning and mentorship, where they could explore their talents, ask questions, and be encouraged to see themselves as future artists and storytellers.
