Bergman Gallery | New Collectors
Alison Leauanae, Alofa IV (detail), 2024, Cotton and mixed thread hand-stitched & woven on paper, framed, 595 x 405mm
New Collectors brings together seven artists whose practices highlight the breadth and vitality of contemporary art today, including Pasifika artists Alison Leauanae, Siah Fina’i, and Tanja McMillan (Misery). All works are priced under $2,000, inviting both new and seasoned audiences to engage directly with original, collectible art.
From Tanja McMillan’s watercolours that celebrate her maternal Tahitian heritage to Alison Leauanae’s intricately hand-stitched and woven works on paper, which draw inspiration from her mixed Scottish, English and Samoan heritage, often represented in unconventional ways. The exhibition celebrates experimentation, accessibility, and quality. New Collectors extends Bergman Gallery’s ongoing mission to connect audiences with significant contemporary artists across generations and disciplines, encouraging wider engagement with the vibrant visual culture of our region.
Exhibition runs 5 - 20 December 2025
