Teuila Va’aelua

Teuila Va’aelua is an Auckland-based artist of Samoan and Scottish descent completing her final year of a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Auckland University of Technology. Working primarily within sculpture and installation, her practice explores grief, memory, faith, and absence through minimal and abstract forms. Drawing on spatial thinking and material experimentation, her work considers how emotion, trace, and remembrance continue to occupy space materially and physically.
